Summary

As the team was formed and introduced, we brainstormed and refined the original idea. Based off the determined game, the team began developing and testing out core concepts through the Gamejam. The remainder of the week was spent re-iterating, fleshing out and defining the game itself.

1. January 17: Team Formations
2. January 18: First Build + GameJam
3. January 20: Meeting to discuss the core concepts + prep for Game Pitch
4. January 21: Game Pitch 
5. January 22: Meeting to debrief feedback from Game Pitch and to refine gameplay for the Creative Brief 
6. January 25: Creative Brief Submission

Progress & Development

• First initial build was developed and ran through the GameJam on January.
• Setup a GitHub Repo to track and push changes/updates
• Determined the core game mechanics (splitting rules, basic actions, special actions, etc) 
• Planned an overall aesthetic and color pallete for the character and environment designs through discussion and looking at references
• Ambience with sound and music was determined through looking at existing game references.
• Began the development for character movement. 
• Started modelling the character and environmental designs
• Sound and music samples have been created for integration. 

Next Steps

Develop main  and core mechanics and design the integral components of the game (the Frankenpet)  to prepare for the upcoming Proof-of-Concept tech demo.
