Week 10: March 21-28, 2025


Summary

This week, the team was focused on polishing the living room level, adding easter eggs to the game and working on the basement models.

Timeline

  1. No team meetings or demos this week.

Progress

  • Polished living room
    • Updated the UI
    • Added audio snippets for objects in the environment
    • Updated tasks to ensure all special actions were used in the game
    • Refined and narrowed down the tasks to 3 tasks. Removed tasks that were repetitive or too simple
    • Added ceiling fan that the pet can swing 
    • Added a roomba that cleans in an area of the room 
  • Polished the attic
    • Updated UI
  • New extended features
    • Added ability to select the player upon the start of the game
    • Added option for an alternative movement that is more focused on co-op
    • Added control vibrations 
  • Fixed bugs discovered from self-held playtests
    • Pet falling over now no readjusts itself
  • Art Team primarily focused on working on getting the basement models up.

Challenges

  • Bugs found:
    • Pet toppled over when split and couldn't get back up (fixed)

Next Steps 

  • Polish current scenes.
  • Update basement with models, textures, etc.
